Shillong, March 4: The 39th edition of the North East Orthopaedic Surgeons Conference 2026 will be hosted by the Orthopaedic Society of Shillong at the Lariti Performance Centre, Mawdiangdiang, on March 6 and 7.
North East Orthopaedic Surgeons Conference (NEOSCON) is the regional orthopaedic conference representing all seven northeastern states and is conducted under the aegis of the Indian Orthopaedic Association.
The prestigious academic event is expected to bring together eminent orthopaedic surgeons, researchers and faculty members from leading national and regional medical institutions.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, organising secretary of the event, Dr Wanlam Khongwir, informed that the two-day conference will feature high-level academic deliberations, scientific sessions and research paper presentations.
The platform aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and advancements in orthopaedic care across the region.
Highlighting a unique aspect of this year’s conference, Dr Khongwir said that NEOSCON 2026 is being planned as a ‘Green Event,’ incorporating environmentally responsible practices into its organisation.
He described the initiative as a first of its kind for the conference, reflecting a commitment to sustainability alongside academic excellence.
The conference is being organised under the leadership of Organising Chairman Dr Valencia Myrboh and the Orthopaedic Society of Shillong President, Dr W. Sutnga.
