Slow progress of projects in Changlang district regretted

Itanagar: The Changlang district administration has expressed displeasure over the slow progress of projects being implemented under various centrally sponsored schemes in the district.
Addressing the head of departments at a review meeting yesterday, DC Chanchal Yadav fixed June 30 and December 31 as deadlines for various projects and instructed officers to personally monitor them to ensure timely completion.
The district’s tax & excise department in a separate communiqué today informed that it had collected an amount of over Rs six crore during the last financial year. (PTI)
