Rape
On May 25 at around 7 pm, three motorcycle borne miscreants raped a 13-year-old girl near Phonaguri village under Aradonga OP (WKH). In this connection, Police arrested one Hendrew Sangma (28 yrs), while his two accomplices are absconding. One of the absconding accused has been identified as Super Sangma (23 yrs).
Alleged police torture
One Pronish Sangma lodged a complaint at Bajengdoba police station that on May 24 at around 10.30 pm, while he along with two of his friends were returning from a clan (Mahari) meeting on a motorcycle, on reaching at Boro Gokul village (WGH), they were chased by Police personnel from Rari and were beaten up. As a result, the complainant and his friends sustained serious injuries. One of them Simon Marak has been admitted at Goalpara Civil Hospital, Assam
Abuse
One Pinky Das of Anandamath, Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint at Tura Women police station that her husband Raja Das and her mother-in-law, have been torturing her mentally and physically since their marriage (2001). On May 13, they also filed a false complaint against her at Tura PS.
