Awareness campaign on Food Craft Institute organized

SHILLONG: A one-day awareness campaign on Food Craft Institute, (FCI) Tura was organized at the Multi Facility Centre, Ampati, with the logistic support and assistance of the District Administration, South West Garo Hills on Saturday, last.

The programme was aimed at creating awareness to the youth of the area about the Food Craft Institute, the only Hotel Management and Catering technology in Garo Hills region established in 2010 by the Union Ministry of Tourism and State Tourism Department, offering one-and-a half year’s diploma courses in different trades, namely Food Production, Food & Beverage service, Bakery & Confectionary, etc. A large number of people from in and around Ampati actively participated in the programme.
