Veteran defender Nicolás Otamendi has confirmed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be his final appearance in Argentina colours, bringing the curtain down on a distinguished international journey that has seen him play a pivotal role in the team’s recent successes.The 38-year-old centre-back, currently plying his trade with Benfica, stated that the upcoming global showpiece would mark the end of his cycle with the national team.
