Aditya Verma, a 2022-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya Joint Cadre, has been released from his current assignment to join the Andhra Pradesh cadre. Verma, who is currently serving as the Additional Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills was transferred following approval from the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions. According to a notification dated March 13, 2026, the cadre change was granted on grounds of marriage. The officer will be formally released once he hands over charge of his current responsibilities in Tura.
