City college inks MoU for aviation and hospitality training

SHILLONG, Mach 25: St. Edmund’s College on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kolkata-based Emporium Training and Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. to enhance student employability through industry-academia collaboration.
The three-year agreement was signed by Principal in-charge Brother Sunil Britto and the consultancy’s Operations Manager, Anirban Mukherjee. The partnership focuses on skill development, career awareness, and job placement in the aviation and hospitality sectors.
Under the collaboration, students will receive industry-relevant training and guidance on career options within these fields. Brother Britto noted that the initiative would help bridge the gap between education and employment, while Mukherjee reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to creating career pathways for students aspiring to enter the aviation industry.
