Peshawar, April 1: At least four people, including a child, were killed after the roof of a house collapsed in northwest Pakistan, officials said on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Tuesday in the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The roof of a house in the Rasool Khan area caved in suddenly, trapping several people under the debris.
According to rescue officials, five people were pulled out from under the rubble in critical condition and shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Khar. Doctors at the hospital later confirmed the deaths of four victims — three women aged between 35 and 60, and a two-year-old child. An injured person is reported to be under treatment.
Authorities said further investigation into the cause of the collapse is underway. (PTI)
