Shillong, April 6: A breathtaking unbeaten century from Kishan Lyngdoh powered Rangkynsai SC to a commanding eight-wicket victory over Rhinoland Cricket Academy in the Late P.A. Sangma Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament 2026, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association.
Opting to field first after winning the toss, Rangkynsai SC did well to restrict Rhinoland to 171/8 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings was anchored by Sumit Kashyap, who struck a fluent 42 off 28 balls, while Dhruv Raj Bora chipped in with a steady 39 off 25 deliveries. With the ball, Ajay Duhan was the standout performer, returning impressive figures of 4 for 22 in his four overs, ably supported by Sudhir Sahani, who picked up two wickets.
Chasing 172, Rangkynsai SC turned the contest into a one-sided affair, riding on a sensational knock from Lyngdoh, who remained unbeaten on 120 off just 58 balls.
His innings, laced with controlled aggression and clean hitting, all but sealed the game. He found support from Duhan, who contributed 36 off 30 balls, as the team cruised to 175/2 in just 16.1 overs.
Rhinoland’s bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs, with Raj Agarwal and Aayushman managing a wicket each, but failing to stem the tide.
For his match-winning knock, Lyngdoh was deservedly named Player of the Match, capping a dominant performance that underlined Rangkynsai SC’s credentials in the tournament.
In the end, it was a contest that began with promise but quickly slipped away from Rhinoland as Kishan Lyngdoh took centre stage with a knock of rare authority.
