SHILLONG, April 9: The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH) on Thursday organised a “Walk for Homoeopathy” to mark World Homoeopathy Day and the 271st birth anniversary of the system’s founder, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann.
The walk commenced at the State Central Library and concluded at the Golf Club.
The event was flagged off by chief guest Dr BDR Tiwari, Chief Electoral Officer of Meghalaya, in the presence of NEIAH Director (I/C) Prof Vijay Kumar. Addressing the participants, Tiwari urged students to remain dedicated to their studies and highlighted the efficacy of homoeopathy in treating various ailments.
Aligned with the theme ‘Bharatiya Homoeopathy: Transforming Traditional Wisdom into Tangible Science,’ the event aimed to promote the system as a safe and holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on individualised treatment.
The walk saw participation from medical students, doctors, and staff of the institute.
