ATM vandalised
On June 10 around 4 am, one Resham Sunar (26) vandalized the SBI ATM Kiosk at Umsohsun, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
Assault
Ranjit Paul lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on June 9 at around 11.30 am, one Randur Paul entered his house at Laban, while his wife was alone, attempted to strangulate her and snatched her gold necklace.
On June 9 at around 9.30 pm, one Md. Aslam Ali (37) assaulted Sameer Sheikh (23) at Nongrah, Dongktieh, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
Theft
On June 8, one Rakesh Thapa stole Rs. 19,750 from the cash box of Habana restaurant belonging to Willison Iangngap at Lama Villa, Shillong.
lAnkush Tharad Marbaniang lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on June. 8, his domestic help Arun Sill Sarma stole cash Rs. 50,000 from his residence at Bhagyakul, Gordon Road, Laitumkhrah. The accused is absconding.
lOn June 6, a theft case was in Mawsynram PS registered following a complaint that unknown miscreants have ransacked the transit camp of MeECL at Kpermasi, Mawsynram (EKH) and stole wooden beds, mattresses, blankets, water filters etc.
lGajendra Sharma of India Premier Logistics Cement Ltd., Thangskai village (EJH) lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on Apr. 19, 2014, 400 bags of cement from Adhunik Cement Ltd. was loaded in a truck (ML-04B-1669) meant to be unloaded at Balaji Hardware, 9th Mile, Byrnihat (RB). However, till date the consignment was not delivered and the driver is absconding with the truck.
