Kiran Gogoi Hazarika, D/o S N Gogoi and Anima Gogoi has been awarded the PhD degree by NEHU for the thesis entitled, ‘Ex situ conservation of Cymbribium hookerianum Rechb F and Cymbribium ebureneum Lindl through invitro propagation and cryo preservation’, under the supervision of Dr. S K Kumaria and Dr. P Tandon.

Valrielyn Saio, D/o Florida Saio and (L) Khraw Singh Giri Lyngdoh, a resident of Nongmali-3, Mawlai has been awarded the PhD degree in Biochemistry from NEHU for her thesis entitled, ‘Study of the antioxidant and free radical scavenging potentials of selected plants in different pathophysiological conditions in mouse’ under the supervision of Prof D Syiem and Prof R Sharma.
