A two-day national symposium on ‘Application of Plasma Physics in Sustainable Waste Management and Conservation’ will get under way on Thursday. The symposium is being organised by Sankardev College, Shillong, in collaboration with Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board.
Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui will inaugurate the recently renovated Tynrai Football Arena at Shillong Public School, Laitumkhrah. The inaugural ceremony is scheduled for 12 noon. A friendly five-a-side football match will also be held between officials of the Directorate of School Education & Literacy (DSEL) and the students of the school.
