Outgoing CS visits Mawkyrwat

SHILLONG: Outgoing Chief Secretary W.M.S. Pariat paid his last visit to South West Khasi Hill District, Mawkyrwat on Wednesday where he was greeted and welcomed by the Deputy Commissioner R. Lyngdoh along with her ADC’s, EAC’s and heads of various offices in the District at the Multipurpose Hall DC Complex Mawkyrwat.

Pariat while addressing the gathering, recalled his service as the DC of the then undivided West Khasi Hills District where Mawkyrwat falls under the administrations of Nongstoin. He added, that South West Khasi Hills being a new district needed the dedication, hard work and responsibility of government employees to ensure development and achievements of Government programmes for the welfare of the people at large and the State as a whole. He stressed team work to strive the achievement of improving the district to be at par with others. He concluded by wishing the district administration including the District Heads the very best in their endeavour to serve the people of the area.
Others who spoke were  the deputy commissioner, South West Khasi Hills  K.K. Mawa, E.E PWD(R), N.I. Wanniang,DSEO,  R. Iangrai,MCS,ADC, who preside over the function and Ms. B.H. Syiem, DS&WCO.
