Shillong, June 3: Given expected high demand, tickets for the final of the 5th Meghalaya State League will go on sale from Thursday at the SSA Stadium ticket counter.
Nongkseh SSCC and Langsning FC have set up a dream title match as each will compete to be Champions of Meghalaya. Winning the prestigious trophy will also enable them to contest the All India Football Federation’s I-League 3.
On Thursday tickets will be available from 2pm to 6pm and on match day, i.e. Friday, the ticket counter will open from 1pm. Kick-off will be at 6pm under the floodlights. Tickets will be available at the venue ranging in price from Rs 100 to Rs 300, with the largest share in the lower price bracket, thereby allowing as many fans as possible to enjoy the game at an affordable price point.
There was a fantastic atmosphere at the SSA Stadium for the two semifinals last week, which were played out in front of a tremendous number of spectators who backed the four teams so passionately. The final will also be streamed live on the Hello Meghalaya app.
The organisers have requested fans not to carry water bottles, dangerous materials, weapons, illegal substances, or any unlawful items into the stadium premises. Smoking and consumption of alcoholic substances inside the venue are strictly prohibited.
This edition of the MSL, an initiative of the Meghalaya Football Association in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, has been the biggest and most ambitious so far, and after 130 matches since MSL 5 began in April, Nongkseh and Langsning are hungry to deliver one more stellar performance and claim the crown.
