DADENGGRE/AMPATI, June 18: Training sessions for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls 2026 were conducted this week in Tikrikilla and Ampati to prepare election officials for the upcoming revision exercise.
In Tikrikilla, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pearla D. Sangma addressed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from the Raksamgre and Tikrikilla constituencies on Thursday. She emphasized that the success of the revision depends on the accuracy of field-level data collection. House-to-house visits by BLOs in these areas are scheduled to take place from June 30 to July 29.
Similarly, in South West Garo Hills, the District Election Officer’s office held a training session on Wednesday for BLO supervisors and enumerators from the Ampati, Mahendraganj, and Salmanpara constituencies. This session focused on procedures for the revision with reference to the October 1, 2026, qualifying date.
During both programs, election officials provided detailed instructions on data verification and transparency, urging all personnel to carry out their duties diligently to ensure an inclusive and accurate electoral roll.
