Theft
Biba Lama lodged a complaint that unknown miscreant(s) stole gold ornaments, a silver bangle set and cash amounting to Rs. 25,000 from her residence under Lumdiengjri Police Station, Shillong. The complainant suspected one Parash Lama of being involved in the incident.

Alerick Kharjana lodged a complaint that around 9 am on June 12, unknown miscreant(s) stole his scooter (ML-05T-1101) from near his residence at Lumdiengsoh, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
Lambha Kupar lodged a complaint that on June 14, unknown miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-05AB-2291) from near his residence at Nongmensong Umkdait, Shillong.
Junior Engineer, in charge of Dinshalalu village, EJH, lodged a complaint that on June 4 around 7.15 pm, he learnt that unknown miscreant(s) stole two pump sets, each valued at around Rs. 35,000, from Deinshalalu pump house, EJH.
Unauthorised transaction
A male resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that between June 10 and 11, unauthorised transaction, amounting to Rs. 2.08 lakh, took place from his bank account.
Two-wheeler missing/recovered
On June 15 around 6 pm, police recovered one abandoned motorcycle (AS-01GK-7053) from Amsohtai village under Muktapur Police Outpost, WJH.
Harsh Shukla lodged a complaint that on June 14, his motorcycle (AS-17G-7809) was found missing from Araimile, Tura, WGH.
Land fraud
A male resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint on February 5 that he purchased a plot of land for Rs. 5 lakh at Nongkseh Rim, Shillong, from one Julinsha Thangkhiew in the presence of the witnesses and under the seal and signatures of the then authorities of raid Sawkur Nongkseh, including the headman and the then Rangbah Dong of the locality, allegedly by claiming to be the lawful owner of the aforementioned plot of land. Later, when the present headman and the executive committee attempted to verify and measure the land, Julinsha Thangkhiew avoided the process and failed to produce documents in support of her claim, etc.
Forgery
East Khasi Hills Additional Deputy Commissioner lodged a complaint that during the process of verification, the documents submitted by one Rajiv Yadav were suspected to be fake. During the inquiry, police visited the given address (Lumkseh village) only to learn that no person by the name of Rajiv Yadav had been residing in the aforementioned village. Further, the headman of Lumkseh village also furnished a written confirmation in this regard.
Duped
A male resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on May 1, two individuals, namely Swaroop Roy, Regional Sales Manager, and Sumit Kuri, Sales Officer of Mother’s Fresh Food Pvt. Ltd., Guwahati, cheated him of Rs. 1,06,155.
A male resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on June 11 around 3.45 pm, one unidentified individual, who claimed to be an employee of the Bank of India, cheated him of Rs. 48,915.
Merunha D Shira of a village in North Garo Hills lodged a complaint on June 13 that she hired one Ajir Hussain for the installation of PVC false ceiling in her newly constructed house and Rs. 67,000 for materials. However, the accused fled away with the money without executing the work.
