Kathmandu, June 22: Nepal’s former finance minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel was arrested on Monday for his alleged involvement in a money laundering case, police said.
Paudel, who is the vice president of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), was the finance minister in the K P Sharma Oli-led government that was toppled during the Gen-Z movement in September last year.
Paudel was arrested from a hotel in the Surkhet district of Karnali province, where he was attending a programme organised by the CPN-UML, Nepal Police said. (PTI)
