The Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban, will organise the 16th Inter-Shillong Cultural Event 2026 from July 19 to August 9. According to a statement here, the month-long festival features a diverse range of competitions. The schedule begins with Rabindra Sangeet and Folk Song contests on July 19, followed by Tagore and Folk dance categories on July 26. In August, the club will host Art, Essay and Quiz competitions on the 1st, and Recitations in English and Bengali on the 2nd. The event will conclude on August 9 with fun games and a Hindi song dance competition. Registration forms have been made available at several locations, including Jyoti Medical Hall and Pappu Medical in Laban, Hotel Vishal at Last Stop, Amrita Medicals on Jail Road, Tulsi Jewellery in Laitumkhrah, Elora Store in R&R Colony, Krishna Medical in Jhalupara and Nimmi Medical in Upper Mawprem.
