Noted educationist conferred award at US convention

BHUBANESWAR, July 12: Dr. Achyuta Samanta, eminent educationist and founder of KIIT, KIMS, and KISS, has been conferred the AAPI Award for Transformational Social Work & Indo-US Partnership by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI).
The honour was presented during AAPI’s 44th Congress and annual convention, APICON 2026, held in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Samanta was recognised for his contributions to social service, visionary philanthropy, and his role in strengthening the Indo-US partnership, particularly through his support during the Global Health Summit 2026.
The award was presented by AAPI President Dr. Amit Chakrabarty in the presence of approximately 3,000 physicians. AAPI is one of the largest organisations of its kind in the United States, representing more than 1.2 lakh doctors of Indian origin.
