SHILLONG: Laitumkhrah celebrated the weekend with a 5-0 thumping of Pohkseh in their First Division football league match, organised by the Shillong Sports Association, at the JN Sports Complex, Polo, on Saturday.
The rout began in the 13th minute with J Tariang’s goal, followed by one from S Suting around 20 minutes later.
H Balogun scored the first of his brace in the 40th minute, following that up with a goal early in the second half.
A stoppage time goal from W Kharkongor then sealed the result in favour of Laitumkhrah.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Laban defeated Nongkrem 2-0.
Laban were awarded a penalty in the first half, with M Kharsati converting from the spot. K Pale then made it 2-0 in the 84th minute.
On Monday Laitlyngkot will play Imson at 4:00pm.
