Coal-laden trucks seized in Nongstoin

NONGSTOIN: West Khasi Hills Police on Sunday seized two trucks, both 12-wheelers, transporting coal in violation of the NGT ban in the State.
Both the trucks bearing a registration (AS 01 FC 4765 and AS 01 FC 4665) were seized at Pamphyrnai, 11kms from Nongstoin.
Police informed that many truckers are violating the NGT ban in West Khasi Hills by loading coal in midnight and transporting it illegally to Assam.
