NONGSTOIN: One H. Gephein Ryntong on Monday filed an FIR at Shallang PS against his son-in-law and headman of Nongdaju village for assaulting a resident of the same village recently. The headman has been identified as Koreng Rashir.
According to the FIR, Rashir has been involved in many cases of assault and engaging in violent arguments after consuming liquor. Rashir has also been accused of assaulting his father-in-law and other family members at Nongdaju village on July 14 last.
The village elder has also informed the Syiem of Nongstoin to intervene in the matter and to terminate Rashir from his post as headman of Nongdaju.
