MPSC clarifies on controversy over written exam

Exam for candidates applying in 2011

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has clarified that the written examination for the post of Enforcement Inspector under the Commissioner of Transport held on July 19 this year was meant for the eligible candidates who had applied for the posts three years ago.
“The written examination conducted for the post of Enforcement Inspector under the Commissioner of Transport, Government of Meghalaya, on July 19, 2014 of which results have been declared, were for eligible candidates who had applied for the said post vide notification no.MPSC/ADVT/-38/1/2011-2012 dated 26/7/2011,” a statement issued here by MPSC Controller of Examination M.R. Marak said.
According to the Controller of Examination, the notification dated June 17 this year for application to the post of Enforcement Inspector was issued in the website as per the new requisition for conduct of written examinations and recruitment of officers for the year 2014 received from the office of the Commissioner of Transport, with the last date of receipt for applications as on July 31, 2014.”
