Mumbai: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming directorial venture That Girl In Yellow Boots, which has garnered much-acclaim at Toronto and Venice film festivals, is set for a New York premiere Aug 24.
“I am thrilled, excited, nervous and very happy for the premier, I am so looking forward to it,” Kalki Koechlin, who plays the lead role in the film, said in a statement.
Slated for a Sep 2 release worldwide, the film is scripted by Kalki, who also stars along with Naseeruddin Shah in it. That Girl In Yellow Boots is the story of a girl who comes to India in search of her father and the journey that she undertakes.
“Emotionally it was the most draining film to shoot. It was a tough one, especially because it was made with borrowed money. I am very contented looking at the credibility my film has received,” said Kashyap. (IANS)
