SHILLONG: At a time when Meghalaya is bearing the brunt of insurgency , the Rifle Factory, Ishapore has published an advertisement for ordering online small arms and civil weapons in local dailies of Meghalaya.

It is feared that the militants would leave no stone unturned to buy smaller arms and these smaller arms has every capability to kill humans and apparently the advertisement is an open invitation to anyone including militants to book arms online.

As per the advertisement published by Ministry of Defence, Rifle Factory, Ishapore has started online booking small arms, and many civilian weapons from August 18.

In the website of Rifle factory, specifications of many sporting rifles and other arms like .315 sporting rifle, .22 revolver, .32 pistol and many more have been mentioned.

In the website, new users will have to login and the website asks the customers to send a scanned copy of the license. It is feared that people and militants can definitely make fake copies of license to obtain such arms which are lethal.

The registration form in the website also asks the customers for the details of the issuing authority which can also be manipulated.
