Itanagar: Anna Hazare’s fight against corruption has reached the interiors of Arunachal Pradesh. The Palin Area Youth Welfare Association (PAYWA) along with Bazar Welfare Committee (BWC) and student volunteers of Palin and adjoining villages in Kurung Kumey district yesterday took out a peaceful rally at Palin.

In a statement PAYWA said that rally was organized to send a message that the whole state was with Anna in his fight against corruption. Not far away in the valleys of Ziro in Lower Subansiri district, several organizations took out a rally at Ziro on Tuesday.

Ziro Development Council (ZDC) chairman Subu Kechi said that the council in collaboration with the influential Apatani Priest Association (AHA), Danyi Piilo Society (DPS), Apatani Heritage Association (AHA) and Meder Nello Committee took out a mass rally demanding passage of a strong Jan Lokpal Bill in the Parliament immediately as demanded by Anna.

The council has urged like minded citizens to voluntarily join Anna in his crusade against corruption. (PTI)
