SHILLONG: Police have arrested a teacher of MeECL Higher Secondary School, Umiam — K. Pandey – for allegedly molesting a student of the school, a delayed report said on Thursday. Pandey committed the crime in May ) when he took a group of students of the school for a trip to NEIGRIHMS. Pandey was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by three students at Umiam Police Station.
Rapist held: Meanwhile, Police have arrested one person for allegedly raping one differently-abled girl in Lawbah in East Khasi Hills. Police said that the incident happened on Tuesday around 2 pm, when one Jamal Wankhar raped one 15-year-old girl in a jungle at Lawbah.
