SHILLONG: Governor K.K. Paul on Wednesday inaugurated a Yes+ Freedom Programme in Shillong organised by the Art of Living, Shillong chapter. The programme is designed for students and young professionals.

This is a powerful life-skills programme designed to accelerate personal all-round excellence. Students from various colleges and education institution participated in the programme held on Thursday.

The four-day programme will also focus on career counselling by experts, workshops and a pulse diagnosis camp by a reputed Ayurveda practitioner from Bangalore.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said, “Youth are the future of the nation and the future of any society depends on its value system besides practical and spiritual bonding.” He stressed on the need to channelize the youth in the right direction.

He also urged youths to uphold the ideals of democracy, human rights and justice, protection of rights of women and children and awareness on the need of ecology and environment.

Also present on the occasion were Home Minister Roshan Warjri, Urban Affairs Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, former Education Minister Manas Chaudhuri and former Rajya Sabha member B.B. Dutta.
