SHILLONG: Helen LaFave US Consul General Kolkata arrived Shillong. This is her first visit after she took charge as Consul General in August last year. She met representatives from the state’s business community to learn more about the business climate in Meghalaya, which are the key sectors. The meeting was aimed at knowing the main issues affecting business climate in the state and to explore commercial opportunities for US businesses.
The interactive session was organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) at Tripura Castle, Shillong. She will call upon officials of state government and Secretary NEC and few others during her three-day visit to the state.
