SHILLONG: The Ri Bhoi Police is still on the lookout for six other miscreants who were involved in the looting of Rs 26 lakh from the SBI ATM at Nongpoh earlier this month. Four of the accused are already in police net.

Ri Bhoi SP, CVS Reddy said that police have raided the houses of the miscreants at Hajo in Assam but the public there is unwilling to cooperate. According to Reddy, the arrested miscreants have revealed that they were eyeing a similar catch in Mizoram. The incident has raised serious concern about the security of the SBI ATMs in the State, none of which are manned by security guards.

The district police chief, meanwhile, ruled out the involvement of any bank official in the crime.
