SHILLONG: The HSPDP has clarified that the party never suggested KHADC CEM Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit to call off the public meeting on September 19.

“It is not true that Basaiawmoit refused to listen to the request of the four MDCs to call off the public meeting,” HSPDP president Hoping Stone Lyngdoh said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.

He said that the statement of party joint secretary Witting Mawsor which had appeared in the section of the media is based on his personal views and has got nothing to do with the party.
