Granary set on fire

On October 15 around 2 am, unknown miscreants set fire to a granary of Rongrikimgre Baptist Church (SGH) which was partially damaged. The fire was extinguished by local residents.

Accident case

On October 15 around 2 pm, one Tata Sumo vehicle (AS-11-AC-1188) driven by Sanjib Dev (37) met with an accident at Mawryngkneng By-pass (EKH). As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.

Unidentified person found

On October 15 around 5.30 pm, one unidentified male (30/35) was found lying near NEC Building, Nongrim Hills, Shillong. He was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong and matter is under enquiry.

NGT ban violation

On October 14 morning, Police detected one truck (ML-04B-4271) driven by Shanki Bang transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Lad Stadium Junction, Ladthalaboh, Jowai (WJH). Police seized the truck and arrested driver.

Threat cases

On October 14 evening, two persons Plani Biam and Deimonmi Biam threatened their grandmother Anjela Biam and her family members with dire consequences at Saphai village (WJH).
On October 12 around 10 am, one Niwat Tang threatened his brother Sam Tang and his family members with dire consequences at Thadmuthlong village (WJH).

Abductor arrested

Regarding the abduction (October 11) of one Mohan Tegu from Lumparing, Shillong, Police have arrested the accused, one Angelberth Lyngdoh Nongpiur from Jumar Lane, Laban, Shillong.
