Theft

Police arrested two persons Depankor Nath (22) and Md. Kaim Ali (22) from 7th Mile, Sarangma (NGH) in connection with two theft cases under Mendipathar PS.

Rape

Police arrested one Snut Phawa from Jalyiah village (EJH) in connection with a rape case under Khliehriat PS.

Murder

On October 22, acting on inputs Police arrested one Brol Samayang and recovered one motorcycle (A/F) with Chassis No. 37844 and Engine No. 67698 from Barato village (WJH) in connection with a murder case under Jrikyndeng PS (Hamrem, Assam).

Attempted molestation

On October 22 at around 9.30 am, one unidentified male physically obstructed and restrained one teenage girl while she was proceeding to school at Jakrem (SWKH). The girl managed to escape and reported the matter to her teachers.

Threat calls

On October 21, Ram Babu Rai lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on October  17, 2014 he had lodged a complaint against one Andy of upper Chandmari, Tura (WGH) for assaulting him on October  16, 2014. Since then he has been receiving threatening calls on his mobile phone from Andy to withdraw the said complaint.
