New Delhi: Two days after Aam Aadmi Party accused BJP of trying to get voters’ list fudged, its chief Arvind Kejriwal on Monday took up the issue with Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).
“BJP is trying to buy fake votes and delete the votes of other party. We have taken up this issue with the chief electoral officer.
In view of this, we have made two demands. “Our first demand is to upload the daily monitoring report of each constituency on website so that every party can check how many votes have been added or subtracted,” Kejriwal told reporters here after meeting CEO Vijay Dev.
The AAP leader said that CEO has assured them that he can think of starting this process after November 20 this year. “If any suspicion is detected during this process, probe can then be done.
We have also requested him to upload the list of such voters, who have been added or deleted every week so that every party can check upadated list in every constituency,” The AAP chief said.
The AAP national convener said that they have demanded strict action against those Booth Level Officers (BLO) who are found indulging in any malpractice.
On October 25, Kejriwal had accused BJP of trying to get voters’ list fudged in the national capital.
“A top BJP leader has directed all Delhi BJP MLAs to get at least 5000 fake votes made in each constituency and get AAP votes deleted. Bribe rate is Rs 1500 for new fake vote, Rs 200 to get any vote deleted.
This information was given by someone who did this job for BJP last week. “We are meeting EC officials on Monday at 11 AM and making a formal complaint,” Kejriwal had said on Twitter. (PTI)
