JOWAI: The Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong, War Jaintia has demanded that no non-tribal be enrolled in the electoral roll without the recommendation of the Dorbar Shnong.
It also lodged a complaint with the concerned Deputy Commissioner against the enrolment drive conducted by the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Amlarem Civil Sub-Division.
The Synjuk argued that ‘outsiders’ were being enrolled in the electoral roll and urged pressure groups to intervene into the matter.
