TURA: The GSU has called off its proposed office picketing in South Garo Hills District, after Acting Deputy Commissioner, T.G. Momin, informed the GSU that senior Meghalaya civil servant, H.B. Marak, will be taking charge of the district. They informed that Marak has been appointment as Deputy Commissioner with effect from November 6.
“He will take charge within 15 days of his appointment,” a GSU release said on Thursday.
