2 HNLC cadres surrender

JOWAI: Two persons suspected to be members of the proscribed HNLC surrendered before the East Jaintia Hills Police on Thursday.

Informing this, the East Jaintia Hills Police, however, refused to reveal the names of the duo.

However, the duo, residents of Jalyiah village in East Jaintia Hills District, was missing for a more than a month.

Sources said that they came back to the village after a month and half and revealed that they had joined the rebel outfit.

The Dorbar Shnong later handed them over to the Khliehriat Police.
