Mukul returns after meeting AICC leaders

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma returned to the state capital on Sunday after meeting a number of top AICC leaders in the national capital.

Party sources said that in Delhi, the Chief Minister met the AICC general secretary in charge Meghalaya V.Narayanasamy and Ahmed Patel, political secretary to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

Sources said that the Chief Minister apprised the AICC leaders about the sudden resignation of Home Minister Roshan Warjri over the law and order situation in Garo Hills and the police chargesheet filed against Cabinet Minister Deborah Marak.

However, the outcome of the meeting was not known
