SHILLONG: The State BJP launched its primary membership drive in Shillong on Monday. Sunil Deodhar, Membership incharge North East and BJP organizational incharge Tripura was also present on the occasion.

BJP members from different district and mandals in the State assembly were also present at the membership launch event.

The State BJP President, Khlur Sing Lyngdoh, State Membership Convener H.S.Myrthong and State Membership Co-Convener Sanjib Baidya first renewed their membership by giving a miss call with their mobile at 18002662020, followed by the members in the meeting. Later, five prominent persons joined the party receiving membership receipts.

Speaking on the occasion, Deodhar urged the members to cooperate in the enrollment of more BJP members in Meghalaya. Deodhar said that Haryana which recently went for election had only four MLA but now it is a BJP ruled state and Meghalaya would also have a BJP government in 2018.
