MLA Sanbor Shullai on Sunday inaugurated the public announcement system which is first of its kind in Jhalupara locality. It has been funded under SUWP scheme 2013-14. The function was attended by the headman of Jhalupara village council and other members besides residents.

The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association” (MUPSTA) Ribhoi District Unit will hold its General Meeting on November 29 at Nepali U. P. School, Nongpoh at 10:30 am to have a thoroughly discussion on the welfare and the genuine demands of the Association that is still pending with the State Government.
Training prog
Nehru Yuva Kendra Nongstoin West Khasi Hills District ,Meghalaya in Collaboration with NSS Unit of Tirot Singh Memorial College has started the 3 days residential Training on Youth Leadership Cum Community Development Programme 2014-15 at Auditorium Hall Tirot Singh Memorial College Mairang. The programme was inaugurated on November 20 at Auditorium Hall Tirot Singh Memorial College Mairang. In this Inauguration programme, 50 participants from different Youth Clubs, Sports Clubs , SHGs from different villages of Mairang Sub-division were also present.
Children’s Day
Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Amway India, celebrated ‘Universal Children’s Day’ with the children of A W Thomas Girl’s Home recently in Shillong. The Foundation also conducted a health checkup camp.
