Glittering start to Kabaddi World Cup

Jalandhar: The 5th World Cup Kabbadi began with a glittering ceremony as Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal inaugurated this sporting event here at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium on Saturday.

The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, unfurled the ‘Kabaddi flag’, which was followed by march-past of the captains of the participating teams, led by the mascot of tournament ‘Jaanbaaz’. The CM and Deputy CM also interacted with the captains of the participating teams on the dais. (PTI)
