New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Tuesday met Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and sought royalty on pre-discounted price of crude oil produced in the state. “The government is committed for cooperative federal structure with priority for North-Eastern states and it will be ensured that Assam gets its rightful dues,” said Pradhan in a statement after the meeting.

On the issue of better administration for subsidy, Pradhan sought Gogoi’s cooperation in the implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer in LPG (DBTL).

The Petroleum Minister also asked the Chief Minister to provide better facilities to oil and gas companies operating in Assam in areas like tax, law and order. (UNI)
