Second police reserve in State inaugurated at Jowai

SHILLONG: Meghalaya DGP P.J.P. Hanaman on Thursday inaugurated the police reserve administrative building of West Jaintia Hills District.

Senior police officials were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Hanaman said, “Police reserves are the heart of the police”.

The police reserve at Jowai is the second such reserve in Meghalaya.

During the day, the DGP also felicitated two students of Jowai Police Public Secondary School who had passed this year’s SSLC examination with distinction.

The school was opened in 1995 with 5-6 students and now boasts of a strength of 330 students with classes from Nursery till Class X.
