Hindi Diwas
The Meghalaa Hindi Prachar Parishad (MHPP) in collaboration with Shree Marwari Panchayat Shillong will celebrate Hindi Diwas Samaroh at Shree Rajasthan Vishram Bhawan, Luckier Road-Garikhana on September 14. To mark this occasion, the Parishad will also release its souvenir and several members from society will be felicitated on this occasion.

Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister BM Lanong inaugurated the public address system of the Dorbar Dong Demseiniong, Laitumkhrah at the Dorbar Hall Demseiniong on August 30. The public address system is sponsored by Lanong.
Eye camp
The Rotary Community Corps, Demseiniong-Laitumkhrah in collaboration with the Rotary Club Shillong with the help of the Dorbar Dong Demseiniong held a free eye and dental camp at Dorbar Hall Demseiniong on August 30. Around 169 patients received treatment in the camp.
Annual meet
The Meghalaya State Cooperative Marketing and Consumers’ Federation Ltd (MECOFED) will hold its annual general meeting in the conference room of MECOFED at 1.30am on September 28.
Convocation
IGNOU, Regional Centre Shillong will hold its 24th convocation on September 5 at 3.30pm at the Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong. The convocation will be held simultaneously through teleconferencing mode via Satellite at all Regional Centres of the University. P B O Warjri, Addl Chief Secretary will attend the programme as the guest of honour.
