Shillong Games 2014 concludes

SHILLONG: The Shillong Games 2014 concluded on Thursday with Malki winning the Men’s Basketball competition, Lawmali in Women’s Basketball and Royal Wahingdoh in Women’s Football. The games were followed by a prize distribution ceremony for winning teams and athletes.
In Women’s Football, Pynhun Shulet scored a 41st minute goal to help Royal Wahingdoh’s Girls football team lift the winning trophy of the Shillong Games 2014 with a high-voltage 1-0 final victory against Pynthor on Thursday at Polo Grounds. Pynthor looked well-balanced in the first half but threw away a number of chances before conceding a goal in the latter half of the match.
While in Women’s Basketball Lawmali emerged champion  with a 60-27 point win over Malki after a well-balanced first quarter.
In  Men’s Basketball,  Malki turned out to be a thrilling game, Malki moving past Boys Sports Company by number of three-pointers but it was the consistent two-points baskets scored by Malki that saw them edge their opponents after some heated moments. The last twenty seconds proved crucial for Malki as they held on to the ball and subsequently managed to clinch the winning title.
