Mukul promotes M’laya in France

Destination of organic food

SHILLONG: A ten-member Government delegation led by Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has carried out a visit to Paris from October 19 to 23.
Though the Government has not come up with any statement regarding the visit of the delegation, sources said that the visit was to promote Meghalaya as destination for organic food. The investment possibilities in Meghalaya by France is another area of focus.
The officials from Industries and Agri- horticulture were part of the delegation.
Besides the Chief Minister, Parliamentary Secretary in-charge Agriculture Celestine Lyngdoh, Parliamentary Secretary  in-charge fisheries Sengman Marak,  Principal  Secretary Agriculture P Kharkongor, Director Commerce andIndustries W. Langstang, Director,  State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) T Lyngwa, Joint Director of Horticulture Michael  Syiem, District Agriculture officer, Williamnagar Crosspillar Marak, Assistant  Director of Cottage Industries W. Warshong, and Officer on Special Duty   Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship B.  Sohliya were part of the  delegation.
