Heavy rainfall inundates over 100 houses in Manipur

Imphal:  Heavy rains during the last two days have inundated over 100 houses in Manipur. About 50 houses were badly damaged. Roads and drains were flowing with rain water, affecting movement of people and vehicles. There was, however, no report of any casualty.
The Imphal, Nambul, Iril and other rivers were flowing at low level.If there is rainfall in the the next few days the low lying areas may be affected, according to state government officials.The weather was cloudy. MET office has predicted rainfall for the next two days. (UNI)
