Krymen Shylla of UDP youngest among Meghalaya ministers

SHILLONG: UDP MLA from Khliehriat, Kyrmen Shylla is the youngest minister to be sworn in as one of the Cabinet Ministers in the NPP-led coalition government in Meghalaya

He is 29 years old and was sworn as a minister in the government by Meghalaya Governor, Ganga Prasad here on Tuesday. The   educational qualification of the young Minister is Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) from MBOSE.  He passed his SSLC exam in 2004.

Speaking to media persons, the 29 –year-old Minister said that he was excited to go out and   perform for the people and the state

“I will also take guidance from the elders and with their guidance, I will give my best shot,” he said

According to Shylla, he would make work for the people especially youths and his focus would be to see that there was youth policy in place soon.

When asked his priorities for the development of Jaintia Hills, he said that the people in Jaintia Hills needed changes for better.
