GUWAHATI: Assam Government vide a notification under the Essential Services Maintenance (Assam) Act. 1980, has prohibited strikes in state by the officers, workmen, contract labourers, tanker, rivers and khalasi involved in the service in the Oil and or Gas sector. This prohibition will be in effect for a period of 6(six) months from the date of issue of the Notification until further orders.
